Mendham Mushrooms, LLC
As many of you are aware, there has been a proposal by Mendham Mushrooms, LLC to conduct a PILOT reforestation project on township property. As part of our due diligence and research, we have been communicating with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) regarding the ability to use public lands purchased and encumbered with State Green Acres Funding. DEP has informed the township that this would not be an allowable use of Green Acres encumbered lands. Therefore, the Mendham Mushrooms reforestation PILOT program cannot move forward and will not be on the Township Committee agenda for September 12, 2022.
