Founded in 1749, Mendham Township is a historic town of approximately 17.8 square miles and about 6,000 residents. Mendham Township is part of the Greater New York - New Jersey metropolitan area, located approximately 35 miles west of New York City and 28 miles northwest of Newark. Philadelphia is approximately 80 miles to the southwest.

Community annual events include an Easter Egg Hunt, 4th of July parade and celebration, National Night out with the local Police Department, an end-of-summer Clam Bake, a holiday boutique, and a holiday tree and menorah lighting ceremony.
