Weather Update for Monday, May 16, 2022

A Message from The Morris County Office of Emergency Management:

Morris County OEM is currently monitoring a storm, which according to current forecast data is expected this afternoon. Based on this storm, the National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Morris County.

Current forecast data suggests that we will experience rain, followed by thunderstorms which are expected to continue into the evening.

Currently, strong storms with gusts of 45-70 mph are possible. In addition, it is anticipated that we will experience heavy rainfall, moderate to frequent lightning, and a risk for hail. The anticipated window of storm activity is 3-9pm at this time. This could change based on the storm track.

Please keep in mind that strong winds can blow unsecured items.

Now for some good news, Tuesday is expected to be sunny with a high near 74.
