Be on the lookout for PSE&G Utility Scams!

Hello this is an important message about protecting your PSE&G electric and gas service from being disconnected when the winter moratorium ends on March 15th.

The pandemic created financial hardships on many families in our community. If you are behind on your PSE&G bill, you should contact PSE&G to set up a Deferred Payment Arrangement to prevent disconnection.  Visit: pseg.com/HelpNow

Thanks to increased income limits, more people are eligible for payment assistance than ever before. There is even a balance forgiveness program.

Because PSE&G is resuming collections activates, we anticipate an increase in utility scam attempts - Don’t become a victim – it’s important to know PSE&G will not call and demand immediate payment and threaten disconnection on the same day.

Please be extra vigilant about identifying PSE&G employees that call or visit your residence.

If anyone comes to your door looking like, or claiming to be, a PSE&G employee, ask for ID.

**All PSE&G employees must carry ID and present it when requested.**

If you are not convinced, call the PSE&G number on your bill.

**A customer service representative will verify if a collections agent has been dispatched to your location.**
