Police Department

The Mendham Township Police Department was founded in 1956 and has continued to serve this community with pride and dedication. The Mendham Township Police Department consists of 15 police officers and a full time secretary.   The department consists of a Patrol Division and a Detective Bureau. The police department is dispatched 24 hours a day by the Morris County Communications Center. The police department provides police coverage 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  The administrative staff is present from 9am to 4pm on weekdays, except for holidays.


Fire Department

The Mendham Township Fire Department is an entirely volunteer organization.  The department is comprised of two independent fire companies — Brookside Engine Company and Ralston Engine Company.  The volunteer firefighters serve the community unselfishly and contribute their own time and effort to fight fires and save lives in Mendham Township.  They undertake regular training to maintain their skills and are on call 24 hours a day.  The Brookside and Ralston Companies are open to anyone over the age of 16.  Both companies are very active in the community with various events throughout the year.


First Aid Squad

The Mendham Township First Aid Squad is a volunteer organization providing 24 hour, 365 days a year coverage to township residents experiencing any medical emergency.  In addition to emergency medical response, the squad provides medical equipment such as: wheelchairs, crutches and walkers to residents on a loan basis.  The squad also provides annual free blood pressure screenings to residents every June.  The squad is active in the community and participates in various community events.
