Overview

The tax collector is responsible for the billing and collection of real estate property taxes which is governed by state law and applies to every municipality in the State of New Jersey. Your tax bill includes revenues collected by the Township on behalf of the municipality, county and school district. Your tax bill is based on the assessed value of your property and you pay taxes for every $100.00 of assessed value.The tax collector is also responsible for the billing & collection of sewer utility charges.

Low Income Household Water Assistance Program
The State’s Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) can help you pay arrears for your water and sewer bills. The program can help you to avoid service disruptions, restore services, stay up-to-date with your payments, and pay reconnections fees. To get more information and apply, go to waterassistance.nj.gov or call NJ211.

The 2023 Final/2024 Preliminary Tax Bills

**The 2023 Final/2024 Preliminary tax bills have been mailed out.  If you do not receive your bill by the first week in October, please feel free to reach out to the Tax Department for a duplicate copy of your bill.

Auto Payment for Sewer and Tax Bills

Never forget to pay your tax or sewer bill as it will be paid when it becomes due if you sign up for Auto Pay.  To sign up, visit the Mendham Township Tax and Sewer Registration page.

First time users will need to register, link the property and save payment information to the account. Registered users can log-in and select 'Auto Pay Enrollment' on the left side of the screen and follow the prompts.

**You may change your payment method or discontinue the auto pay at any time.
