Park at Pitney Farm Taking Donations.

Be a part of “making your mark” on the Historic Park at Pitney Farm.

Mendham Township is taking tax-deductible donations for the historic Walled Garden area at the new park, located at One Cold Hill Road.

“Honor Roll” donations also are being accepted to support the historic Walled Garden, Seed House and Gazebo – all structures that were part of the original Pitney Farm, acquired by Mendham Township in 2009 as permanently preserved open space.

Honor Roll contributions of $750 for gold, $500 for silver and $300 for bronze will be acknowledged with an engraved plate on a plaque installed in the Walled Garden area.

The “Make Your Mark” campaign, launched in September 2021, has created a dedicated reserve fund to help maintain and improve the new seven-acre, handicapped-accessible park. Already, dozens of trees, benches and park amenities have been dedicated by donors from Mendham Township, Mendham Borough and even as far away as Washington State.

Donations may be made by online or by check payable to the Township of Mendham/Historic Park, attention David Guida, P.O.520, Brookside, NJ 07926. If sending a check, please contact David Guida prior to postmarking to guarantee that the item is earmarked especially for you. Please include a note with your contact information, the type of donation (tree or honor roll) and the inscription for the marker or name for the honor roll plate.

Credit card donations can be made via the township’s Community Pass.

For questions, please contact Email or contact Recreation Director David Guida at (973) 543-4555 ext. 222.
