Court Sessions: Court will be held the first and third Thursday of every month, virtually, beginning at 2:00 p.m. Please contact the Court to provide your email address.

Forms of Payment: Check, cash or money order. Some fines can be paid online through the MVC website.

Expedited Expungement Information

If you are charged with a disorderly persons offense, petty disorderly persons offense, or a municipal ordinance violations, and those charges are either dismissed, you are acquitted, or your case is discharged without a conviction or finding of guilt, you may be eligible for an expedited expungement pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2C:52-6. For more information and to determine if you are eligible, you may inquire with the municipal court at the time of disposition.

Mediation

The Community Dispute Resolution Committee (CDRC) provides a means in which minor disputes at the municipal level can be resolved without having to go to Court. Disputing parties appear before a trained mediator who works with the parties to develop a solution to the problem. The Court will refer appropriate cases to mediation.

Criminal Complaints

Criminal complaints may be signed by citizens. Please call the Court Administrator if you intend to file a complaint. You will be given instructions on how to proceed. Be prepared to complete a sworn affidavit stating all of the facts pertinent to your case. The Court Administrator or the Judge will determine probable cause.
