Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Wysong Park Native Plant Garden, June 25, 10:00 am

Come view the new native plant demonstration garden at Wysong Park near the Ralston playground. The Mendham Township Environmental Commission established this garden as part of The Nature of Mendham project which aims to certify the Mendhams as Community Wildlife Habitat with the National Wildlife Federation and New Jersey Audubon. This garden showcases 18 species of native flowers, shrubs and grass. They were chosen for their value as host plants to caterpillars and nectar plants to pollinators. There will be a variety of blooms from April to November and all have some to high deer resistance. To find out how you can certify your yard and help the Mendhams achieve their goal go to The National Wildlife Federation
