Secretary to Township Administrator/Receptionist
This position is responsible for providing a variety of secretarial duties for the office of Township Administrator along with performing delegated administrative assignments. It is also responsible for performing general receptionist duties for all Township offices, with concentration in Construction Office support (TACO certification desirable within one year of employment) and assistance to the Board of Health and Land use Boards. Duties involve a variety of secretarial services in support of the Administrator’s many functions along with considerable public interaction and social media implementation. The position requires considerable judgment, initiative and discretion based on a knowledge of administrative policies and procedures in the performance of daily activities. Qualifications: High school graduation with considerable progressively responsible secretarial experience, preferable experience as an executive secretary in government or business or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, ability and skills. Must possess excellent computer, communication and organization skills and the ability to interact effectively with the public. Strong marketing experience and comfort with social media required. 15-20 hours per week, able to adapt to changing schedules and occasional evening and weekend hours.
