Environmental Resource Inventory To Be Presented At March 19th Planning Board Meeting Release Date: March 03, 2014
At the March 19, 2014 Mendham Township Planning Board meeting the Mendham Township Environmental Commission will present the Environmental Resource Inventory (ERI) for the Township. The Planning Board will be asked to officially adopt the ERI into the Mendham Township Master Plan.
The ERI was produced by the Environmental Commission in conjunction with Amy S. Greene Environmental Consultants with a grant from the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions. The 111 page document, including 16 pages of maps, is the result of 2 1/2 years of research.
The ERI includes material and maps on a broad range of issues, such as geology, water resources and wetlands, open space and wildlife. Some of the material is already available, but the ERI combine all the information on the Township natural resources into one location.
The March 19th hearing is open to the public, and the Planning Board meeting begins at 7:30 pm at Town Hall. The ERI is available on the Mendham Township website under Publications, with paper copies available at the Township Library and Town Hall.
