Low-Cost Women’s Cancer Screening Program Offered

Vouchers Available at Bernards Township Health Department

The Bernards Township Health Department is partnering with Women’s Health & Counseling Center to offer low-cost women’s cancer screenings to service area residents.  The screening includes a medical history, physical, clinical breast examination, Pap Smear and pelvic exam, and patient education by Women’s Health & Counseling Center , located at 95 Veterans Memorial Drive East in Somerville . 

This service is available to uninsured women over the age of 20 who have not had a well-woman exam within the past year.  Women interested in taking advantage of this special offer must first obtain a voucher from the Bernards Township Health Department, located at 262 South Finley Avenue , and should then make their own appointment with Women’s Health & Counseling Center .  A co-pay will be required when picking up the voucher to cover administrative costs.  Women will be asked to then call Women’s Health & Counseling Center on their own to make an appointment after the voucher is picked up.

Women with gynecological symptoms are urged to consult with their private physician.
