ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $900 000 FOR THE ACQUISITOIN OF REAL PROPERTY FOR THE PRESERVATION OF OPEN SPACE FOR AND BY THE TOWNSHIP OF MENDHAM, IN THE COUNTY OF MORRIS, NEW JERSEY

            BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MENDHAM , IN THE COUNTY OF MORRIS , NEW JERSEY , AS FOLLOWS:

            Section 1. $900,000, consisting of a $400,000 County Open Space Grant and $500,000 from the Open Space Trust, is hereby appropriated for the acquisition of real property for the preservation of open space consisting of the Cider Mill property known as Block 107, Lot 1 on the official tax map of the Township of Mendham and also known as 336 Mendham Road West, Mendham, New Jersey, including all costs necessary therefore and incidental thereto.

            Section 2. The capital budget of the Township of Mendham is hereby amended to conform with the provisions of this ordinance to the extent of any inconsistency herewith. The resolution in the form promulgated by the Local Finance Board showing full detail of the amended capital budget and capital program as approved by the Director of the Division of Local Government Services is on file with the Clerk and is available there for public inspection.

            Section 3. The Township is authorized to enter into a contract for the purchase of the real property described herein, and the Mayor is authorized to execute such contract on behalf of the Township.

            Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect as provided by law.
