EMPLOYEES OF THE

The specific salary to be paid each officer and employee within the ranges set forth in Section 1 shall be determined by Resolution adopted by the Township Committee of the Township of Mendham 3. The Office of Municipal Prosecutor is filled by appointment of the Township Committee for the calendar year. The compensation provided in Section 1 is for the prosecution of all contested cases in the Municipal Court.
4. The Office of Township Engineer is filled by appointment by the Township Committee for the calendar year. The Township Engineer shall submit vouchers for services rendered at an hourly rate and based on time and expenses agreed upon prior to the rendering of services.
5. The Office of Township Attorney is filled by appointment by the Township Committee for the calendar year. The Township Attorney shall submit vouchers, at least quarterly, for all services required and shall be entitled to receive reasonable compensation for services rendered which exceed the amount provided in Section 1. 6. The Office of Planning Board Attorney is filled by appointment by the Planning Board for the calendar year. The Planning Board Attorney shall submit vouchers, at least quarterly, for all non-retainer services required and shall be entitled to receive reasonable compensation for services rendered. 7. The Office of Board of Adjustment Attorney is filled by appointment by the Board of Adjustment for the calendar year. The compensation provided in Section 1 is for attendance at one monthly meeting of the Board of Adjustment. The Board of Adjustment Attorney shall submit, at least quarterly, vouchers for other services required and shall be entitled to receive reasonable compensation for services rendered which exceed the amount provided in Section 1. 8. The Office of Board of Health Attorney is filled by appointment by the Board of Health for the calendar year. The compensation provided in Section 1 is for attendance at one monthly meeting of the Board of Health. The Board of Health Attorney shall submit, at least quarterly, vouchers for other services required and shall be entitled to receive reasonable compensation for services rendered which exceed the amount provided in Section 1.
9. In recognition of service and increased value to the Township, each
full time Township of Mendham employee shall be entitled to receive, in
addition to the salary provided for in Section 1 of this Ordinance, the sum of
$300.00 for having completed the first five-year increment of full time
employment, and an additional $200.00 for having completed each additional
five-year increment of full time employment as of January 1, 2003. Any
payments made pursuant to Section 9 shall be included in and considered as a
part of the employee’s salary for purposes of computing taxes and payment
into any retirement system. In the event that an employee entitled to
additional compensation pursuant to Section 9 shall leave Township service or
employment prior to
10. Each employee of the Department of Public Works, excluding the Superintendent and Foremen, shall
be entitled to the benefits provided by the terms of the Collective Bargaining
Agreement between the 11. Each member
of the Police Department below the rank of Lieutenant shall be entitled to the
benefits provided by the terms of the Agreement between the 12. The Chief of Police, during the calendar year 2003, shall be entitled to receive a clothing allowance in
the amount of $875.00 payable in two payments each in the amount of $437.50 on
April 15th and August 1st. The Chief of Police will not be
required to work on the thirteen (13) official holidays observed by the
Township. The Chief of Police shall be entitled to receive a college credit
allowance in the amount of $1,065.00 paid on 13. The
Lieutenant, during the calendar year 2003, shall be entitled to receive a
clothing allowance in an amount equal to that as determined by contract
negotiations with the Mendham Township Police Bargaining Unit, P.B. A. Local
139. The Lieutenant will not be required to work on the thirteen (13) official
holidays observed by the Township.. The Lieutenant shall be entitled to receive
a college credit allowance in the amount of $1,610.00 paid on 14. All ordinances of parts of ordinances inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed. 16. This ordinance shall take effect upon publication of notice of final adoption as provided by law. |
