ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MENDHAM , IN THE COUNTY OF MORRIS , NEW JERSEY , AMENDING SUBSECTION 3-6.3 RELATING TO STORAGE CHARGES FOR IMPOUNDED MOTOR VEHICLES,SUBSECTION 2-41.2 RELATING TO FEES FOR COPIES AND SUBSECTION 31-1.4 RELATING TO COLLECTION OF CERTAIN RECYCLABLES, OF THE MENDHAM TOWNSHIP ORDINANCE CODE

            BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Committee of the Township of Mendham , in the County of Morris , New Jersey , as follows:

            Section 1. Subsection 3-6.3 entitled “Storage Charges” of Chapter III Police Regulations, of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of Mendham , 1998, is hereby amended to read in its entirety as follows:

            3-6.3 Storage Charges. Upon the redemption of a motor vehicle that has been towed to a Township storage yard pursuant to the provisions of this section, the owner shall pay to the Township a storage charge in accordance with the following schedule:

 Day 1 through Day 7 - No Charge

            Day 8 through Day 30 - $25.00 per day

 Day 30 until redemption - $50.00 per day

            Section 2. Subsection 2-41.2 entitled “Fees for Copies” of Chapter II Administration, of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of Mendham , 1998, is hereby amended by adding the following:

s.      GIS Parcel Data Set: $30.00

Section 3. Subsection 31-1.4 Schedules for Curbside Collections of Recyclable

Materials; Township Recycling Depot, of Chapter XXXI Solid Waste Management, of the Revised General Ordinances of the Township of Mendham, 1998, is hereby amended by the addition of the following paragraph:

            Effective January 1, 2004 , when a Township Recycling Depot is in operation the following fees shall be charged:

a.      Tires - $3.00

b.      Tires with Rims - $5.00

c.      Automobile Batteries - $2.00

Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect after final passage and publication as required by law.
