Tax Bill Information

New Drop Box at Town Hall
There is now a drop box for township payments installed at town hall.  The drop box is a secure box attached near the front door to be utilized when the buidling is closed.  The box will be checked and emptied every working business day.

The municipality collects all taxes.  The Township then distributes the county portion
and school portions based on each entity's tax rate.

Tax bills go out once a year in July. Please keep your bill to pay all four quarters.
The third and fourth quarter of the current year and the first and second quarter of the next year.
There is a $5.00 duplicate bill fee.

There is a ten day grace period for all payment of taxes including the 1st.
Taxes must be received in the Tax Office by the 10th of Aug., Nov., Feb. and May.
The grace period for the third quarter 2010 has been extended until 8/25/10.

Obtain and keep receipts of all tax payments: pay in person or by mail with a
self-addressed stamped envelope to obtain a receipt.  Keep your receipts as proof
of payment; there is a fee for a payment history printout.

Notify the tax office if you use a PO Box, refinance, change banks or start paying
taxes directly to the township.  This ensures the tax bill is mailed accurately.
