Saturday, June 12: 2nd Annual, “Patriots’ 5k Race & Children’s Fun
Run.” The kids’ fun run starts at 9 a.m. at the Brookside Community Club, followed
by (USATF-certified/Grand Prix Pts.) 5k race. Runners get T-shirts and are eligible for door prizes. Families can enjoy a DJ, refreshments and family friendly activities and games! Pre-register at www.raceforum.com/patriots. For grades 4-8; from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This program sells
out! Pre-register today. Fee: $25 per child/$60 family max.
Introduction to everyday etiquette for ages 7-12; from 10 a.m. to Noon. Topics
include speaking with confidence, dining etiquette, place setting/silverware rules,
telephone skills, first impressions, handshake and even carpool manners.
Fee: $30.
Wednesday, July 7th: Babysitting (registration form)
9:00am to 2:30pm at The Township Municipal Building, cost is $45.00 per student ages 11 to 15. Each student receives a SmartSitter manual to accompany them to baby-sitting jobs and a SmartSitter certificate.

Preschool Camp (registration form)This camp takes place at the Old Ralston Firehouse at Wysong Park and includes stories, arts and crafts, songs and movement! There is a daily “theme,” and snacks are offered.
Program runs Tuesdays-Fridays, 9 a.m. to Noon. Fee: $120. Registration is limited to 30 children. Forms can be obtained at the Recreation Department Office.
For girls of all skill levels in grades 3-8, held at Mendham Township Middle School
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Learn from former collegiate and professional women players. Innovative drills, scrimmages, nutrition talks and guest speakers. Camp T-shirt for all participants. Fee: Register before Monday, June 15, at a discounted price of $280; afterward, fee is $295. [Note: Payments are nonrefundable
after July 10.]
Dates: July 12-16 Track & Field with Four-Time Olympian Joetta Clark Diggs (registration form) Youngsters ages 7-17 will learn from New Jersey's own four-time Olympian Joetta Clark Diggs and other technique specialists. Focus on specific training in middle distance running, sprints, hurdles, jumps and conditioning. Camp takes place at Mendham High School from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Snacks, T-shirts, water bottles and commemorative participation gifts are included.
Fee: $205 before Monday, June 29; afterward, fee is $225. Pre-registration is required.
Dates: July 26-30 – Boys Basketball camp for grades 5-8 (fall 2010) (registration form)
Run by the Mendham Township Middle School Coach Jeff Dylan and Athletic Director Dan Doherty. Fundamentals, drills and team competition. Program at the Mendham Township Middle School from 9 a.m. to Noon. Fee: $125.
Dates: Weeks of: June 28; July 2nd, July 5th, July 12th , Aug 9th and Aug 16th – Summer Sports and Fitness Camp (registration form) Elementary School Counselor Sarah Springer and gym teacher Michael Guli are partnering to offer a new weekly sports clinic for children ages 5-12. The program kicks off with a week of volleyball, followed by soccer, ultimate Frisbee/golf, basketball and tennis. This individualized
program will also emphasize nutrition and social skills. Program runs from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., at various township recreational sites, with an extended stay option at Brookside Beach. Snack and drink provided daily. Children can sign up for individual or consecutive weeks. Fee: $175 per week; non-refundable $50 deposit due by Tuesday, June. 15.
Dates: July 12-16 – Introduction to golf basics for children ages 5-11 using over-sized, lightweight clubs. Program runs at Ralston Park from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. for ages 5-7; from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., for ages 8-11. Fee $119.
Dates: July 19-23 – Multi Sort Camp Give your child the opportunity to experience 15 different sports in one week! Children will play cricket, rugby, basketball and other sports from around the world. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Ralston Park for children ages 5-14. Fee $169.
Squirts Camp: Introduce 3-5 year-olds to a variety of sports. Camps runs from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Ralston Park. Fee: $99.
Dates: July 26-30 – Tennis basics at Mount Pleasant courts. Program runs from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., for ages 4-5; and from 4:30 p.m to 6 p.m., for ages 6-7. Fee: $109
