Mendham Township Wildlife Committee

In order to address deer over population issues, the Mendham Township Wildlife Committee has approved deer hunting again in Township parklands for 2012-2013.  Click here to view the 2012-2013 Hunting Resolution.

Any Mendham Township resident interested in participating in the harvest of antlerless deer may contact the committee by emailing MALLKPF@aol.com.  All hunters are required to attend the Fall Orientation Meeting.

ONLY HUNTERS SCHEDULED BY THE WILDLIFE COMMITTEE WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN DEER HUNTING IN MENDHAM TOWNSHIP PARKLANDS.

NO HUNTING WILL TAKE PLACE AT MOSLE PRESERVE OR INDIA BROOK PARK WHEN SPORT ACTIVITIES ARE IN PROGRESS ON PARK FIELDS.

We will also review our Neighbor Reach Out Program to Mendham Township property owners which is critical to reducing deer populations in some neighborhoods where the herds winter.  This allows us to walk through some properties without weapons and to drive the deer into the parks where they can be taken.  We also provide waivers to land owners to reduce any liablilty concerns.
