The department administers and enforces the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code. The department consists of a full-time licensed Construction Sub-Code Official and part time Plumbing, Electrical, and Fire Sub-Code Officials

The Construction office is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday thru Friday.

Russ Heiney the Construction/Zoning Official is in the office Monday-Thursday from 1:00-3:00 pm . APPOINTMENTS ARE NOT NECESSARY, BUT IT IS BEST TO CALL FIRST TO CONFIRM, AS HE IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS THAT MAY CONFLICT WITH SPECIFIED OFFICE HOURS.

BUILDING Office Hours: Monday-Thursday 1:00 - 3:00

Inspections: Monday-Friday 12:00 - 5:00

ELECTRICAL Inspections: Monday, Tuesday,
Thursday 1:00 -5:00

PLUMBING Monday and Wednesday 12:30 - 3:30

FIRE Appointments may be scheduled with the Fire Sub-Code Official at 973-543-4555

YOU MUST CALL the office secretary at 543-4555 to set up any inspection. MINIMUM 24-HOUR NOTICE REQUIRED.) Your permit number is required for all inspection requests.
