The Mendham Township Fire Department is an entirely volunteer organization. The Department is comprised of two independent Fire Companies - Brookside Engine Company and Ralston Engine Company. The volunteer firefighters serve the community unselfishly and contribute their own time and effort to fight fires and save lives in Mendham Township. They undertake regular training to maintain their skills and are on call 24 hours a day. The Brookside and Ralston Companies are open to anyone over the age of 16. Both companies are very active in the community with various events throughout the year.
The Mendham Township First Aid Squad is a volunteer organization providing 24 hour, 365 days a year coverage to township residents experiencing any medical emergency.
