Governor Announces Temporary Gas Rationing Order Release Date: November 03, 2012
The Governor has signed an Executive Order effective noon today, Saturday, November 3 requiring gas rationing by odd/even license plates. License plates with an odd number as the last number in their plate can get gas on odd number days, while plates with an even number as the last number can get gas on even number days. State and local law enforcement officials have been directed to strictly enforce this order. The order is intended to relieve some of the lines at commercial gas stations. The Governor advised that it is his expectation within the next 24 to 48 hours the supply of gas/restoration of electricity to gas stations to ease the demand back to normal levels. Your cooperation with this order is greatly appreciated.
